Job Summary:
Risdons Solicitors are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to join our team in Bridgwater.
The successful candidate will provide both clerical and administrative support to the fee earners in the conveyancing team.
Key Responsibilities:

To provide secretarial support, including typing, word processing, and managing telephone calls and diary appointments.

To open and close client files.

To Draft, process and proofread legal documents, such as contracts, searches, and correspondence related to property sales, purchases, leases, and mortgages.

Communicate with clients, solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant parties to gather information, provide updates, and respond to queries.

Assist with or conduct legal procedures, such as ordering property searches with local authorities and dealing with the Land Registry.

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with professional standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and SRA regulations.

Maintain high standards of client care and build long-lasting client relationships.
Qualifications / Experience:
Essential:

A team player with a positive and service orientated attitude.

A basic understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion.

Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with all parties involved.
Desirable:

A thorough understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion.

Experience with case management systems and other relevant software.

Proficient in using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
